NOTMAN
HOUSE

Revitalizing the historic
Notman House

Inspired by Montreal’s Maison du développement durable and Foundation House in Toronto, the Trottier Family is undertaking an extensive environmental renovation of the historic Notman House and St. Margaret Hospital buildings. The project's focus on sustainability is part of a long-term vision to preserve an important piece of Quebec cultural heritage, protect the property from real estate speculation and continue the building’s century-long dedication to public service.

The Trottier family aims to create a welcoming and inclusive hub for collaboration, action and greater impact in the renovated space. The new space will bring together values-aligned organizations working to create positive impact in their communities and for the environment. By providing shared workspaces, resources and equipment, we hope to ensure greater accessibility and encourage the development of community initiatives in the heart of downtown Montreal.

The revitalized Notman House will help make our economy greener and more dynamic, and our community stronger and more inclusive.

Cafe OSMO x Marusan remains open to the public during renovations.
